Best Bakery in San Clemente – Incredible Pastries & Even Better People! We just moved to San Clemente, and I stopped into Chaupain Bakery on my birthday—what a perfect choice! They didn’t even know it was my special day, but their kindness and generosity made it even more memorable. Justin was incredibly welcoming and gave us such a warm welcome to the area. It truly made my day! Beyond the amazing hospitality, their pastries and bread are next level. Everything is fresh, flavorful, and crafted with so much care. This will definitely be our go-to bakery from now on. If you’re looking for amazing pastries, incredible bread, and the kindest people, Chaupain Bakery is the place to go. Highly recommend!

The croissants were flaky and delicious! Coffee beverages were strong too! I strongly recommend this place to all those who love to eat French desserts! The dessert here is not only delicious, but also exquisite, it is a double enjoyment of the eye and the taste. The atmosphere is charming and cozy, I especially loved the outdoor seating right outside the door, which provides a lovely spot to enjoy your treats while soaking in the neighborhood ambiance. Staffs were friendly and attentive. I'll definitely be returning!

The best croissants in OC! super cute bakery with great coffee and outdoor seating, right on the main street in San Clemente. This is a perfect spot for a breakfast date and a little stroll down Del Mar. They have loaves of bread too, I should have grabbed one to try, but I'll be back!

This place was amazing. I'm prudent with my 5 stars. On breakfast alone, I would give a 4 but we ordered some pastries to go and oh my goodness. These are insane. Every single one was perfect, even 10 hours later after a long drive. The food itself was good but not as good as the pastries. If you go here, get pastries, it doesn't matter which ones, just get an assortment of them, they are all magnificent.

Absolutely phenomenal. We discovered it at the farmers market after arriving and went back almost every day of our visit. The croissants are amazing. Also a really nice breakfast sandwich and plenty of sweet and savory options.

We headed to this bakery for lunch on a Sunny Californian Sunday and were very impressed. I am always looking for places where you can grab really high quality lunches. The inside area is clean and well-presented, and there is space outside to sit on the street to eat. The food was really outstanding. We had two of their sandwiches (the club and the vegetable). It's rare to buy sandwiches and find that the bread is high-quality enough to comment on, but this place truly achieved that. Their demi-baguette was delicious, with a crisp crust and a chewy inside. They took care with their fillings too, and the sauces they used were tasteful. My husband had a cherry danish too, and he commented on how flavourful this was. We would definitely return if we were back in the area.

This is my new favorite bakery! The croissants are buttery, light and flavorful!! And they are of good size. Not like those skimpy Starbucks croissants!! And the French Toast was phenomenal!! I will be back!!!
